Here at AlibiOnline, we are focused on working towards a brighter future for our environment, and with that, comes a conscious approach to shopping. As the times are changing, it is becoming increasingly easy to fill our wardrobes with ethical and sustainable garments, which is why we are so excited to introduce to you our newest label; Donnah.
Donnah is an Australian lifestyle label with a philosophy to "Live Lighter" and buy only what you really love and need. Rather than focusing on ‘fast fashion’, Perth-based designer Donna Holmes, has shifted her focus to designing elegant, wearable and well-made clothing that you can feel confident and stylish in, all while making a positive difference. Fill your wardrobe with timeless designs, simple layering and mix and match pieces that will never go out of style. In the range, you will find silk dresses, tops, skirts and shorts, as well as organic cotton t-shirts, bamboo leggings, and cotton/modal tops.
“The label is for the woman who is confident in herself, has a conscious mindset and appreciates sophisticated simplicity along with quality over quality.”
Made In Bali,
Hand made with love in the beautiful island of Bali, Donnah garments utilize premium eco friendly fabrics that feel soft against your body, are breathable, and are kind to our earth.
“We're passionate about sourcing eco friendly fibres and using low impact dyes that are soft against the skin and are kind to mother nature. Our fabrics include bamboo, silk, hemp, organic cotton and Lenzing's range of cellulose fibres which are made from wood pulp and processed in what is called a "closed loop" system, where the use of chemicals is minimal.”
Aside from fabrications, the label also understands the importance of an ethical supply chain. Donnah works closely with all fair trade manufacturers in order to form close relationships, and visits the island several times a year
About The Designer,
Designer Donna Holmes fell in love with Bali began as a teenager, after visiting the island on holiday.
“She was immediately infatuated by the island's ancient culture which revolves around everything spiritual, the exquisite flower offerings, exotic temples, colours and smells, the locals' artistic flair and warm hospitality and of course the perfect climate.”
After completing her Diploma in Fashion and Design, Donna then went on to set up a lifestyle business several years later. The label was manufactured out of the island, and was inspired by her surroundings. Since forming her label, Donna has been designing in Australia, and spending several weeks a year in Bali with her husband.
